Background Checks	To complete the background check online, please go to the following links: Criminal Record Search Certificate (CRSC): Residents of Winnipeg can obtain their CRSC through the Winnipeg Police Service: Criminal Record Search Certificate Non-Winnipeg residents can also go to their local RCMP detachment with two pieces of identification. You can find the RCMP Detachment closest to you here Child Abuse Registry Check: All Manitoba residents can obtain their Child Abuse Registry Check through the following link: Child Abuse Registry Check If you register with a League on the NRS, please email the receipt to: azadhosein@mvoa.ca.
Safe Sport	All referees are required to complete the Safe Sport module. SafeSport e-modules are available free of charge through the Coaching Association of Canada and must be completed annually. To take the training, please visit Safe Sport Training.

Novice / Level 1 Clinics	For any group that is interested in hosting a Novice or Level 1 clinic, or if any individual is interested in taking a Level 1 clinic, please contact Volleyball Manitoba. See below on Becoming a Referee.
Referee Supplies	Referee Supplies are available for purchase to all MVOA Registered Referees. To view the list of supplies and their cost, please go to the Supplies Page.
AGM/Recertification	The AGM, followed by the Recertification clinic will be held: September 10, 2025 - Dakota CCC (1188 Dakota St - Winnipeg) with AGM beginning at 7:00 pm. Recertification for Brandon area referees: September 7,2025 - Brandon University Healthy Living Center - Classroom 2 (2010 Louise Ave - Brandon) 10:00 am - Noon. Registration at 9:50 am.
Level 1 Clinics	Scheduled Level 1 clinics: September 13, 2025 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm at Sport Manitoba - Conference Room B (145 Pacific Ave - Winnipeg). Registration will take place at 8:30 am in person with the clinic beginning at 9:00 am. Register Here. Cost is $50 payable to MVOA to be paid in person at the clinic.
